recovering files from SunOS dump tapes

Hi,

I recently installed Linux on a Sparc 5 that previously had SunOS
4.1.3. The installation was straightforward, but in the process I
managed to trash my SunOS partition as well. Not that big a deal, in
that I don't need to dual boot or anything, but I would like to set up
SunOS emulation, so I need some files from SunOS, /usr/lib/ld.so and
so on. I have backup tapes of my SunOS system, but they are in SunOS
dump format, and I have not been able to read them with Linux or
Solaris 8 restore programs. I don't have any original SunOS install
media.

Is ther any way to recover these files from the dump tapes without a
SunOS system? Any other options to get the files necessary for
emulation? I know that Sun has free downloads of Solaris 8 now, but
do they have downloads of SunOS 4 anywhere? It wasn't obvious on
their website.

Thanks,
Kelsey
