I think of my community as the Free Software community, not the Open
Source community. For an explanation of the difference, see
http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-for-freedom.html.
The ability to run Windows applications would be a very important
feature, but we should not have to switch to a Windows-like OS to do
it. I'd like to see a package that emulates Windows on top of the
GNU/Linux operating system, such as Willows Twin or WINE. A few
months ago I asked the people working on ReactOS and WIllows Twin to
look for ways to share code.
