No. Sun was booting from CDs long before El Torito was invented, and
El Torito is a rather silly way to do it. (Necessary on PC's because
the BIOS is rather simple minded.)

You need to use silo to make the CD image bootable.  Get the slink-cd
package from potato, and look at how it makes the CD.  (There should
be some info in /usr/doc/silo too.)

Make sure that neither the kernel, nor the initial ramdisk is the last
file on the CD, otherwise it won't boot.
