Re: Kernel 2.2.x serial console problems



did you replace the /dev/console symlink with the char device used by 2.2
kernels ?

# rm -f /dev/console
# mknod /dev/console c 5 1

If you install Debian for 2.2 kernel directly, it does the right thing, but if
you upgrade your kernel later you need to change it by hand.
