Not that I know of, but I have managed to get it running...

There is a Debian package as well (though it appears to not have made
it to master, possibly because of it's limited usefulness). You can
fetch it from ftp.netg.se:/pub/Linux/sparc/X/xserver-xsun* (get
xsun-utils as well. kbd_mode is handy when the sever crashes). My
hints are relative to that package, I don't know if they apply to the
Red Hat package as well.

This is probably an artifact of it being a Red Hat package...

The problem is that the fonts supplied with Debian are compressed and
Xsun does not know how to deal with compressed fonts. The quick fix is
to run xfs on the machine as well, and start Xsun with 
-fp tcp/localhost:7100 to have it get fonts from xfs (which will
decompress the fonts before sending them).
