BTW here there are several methods,

anyone giving you some information, some redundant:

$ lsb_release -a
$ cat /proc/version � � ; # this largely include "uname -a"
$�cat /etc/debian_version

I don't see that as a personal attack, it was a question not a
statement. �Consider that some people actually believe the best course
of education is to teach a person to fish for themselves.
