Hmm, I'm not seeing it here.

  # grep libc6_2.2.5 /var/lib/apt/lists/security.debian.org_*_Packages

  # ls -l /var/lib/apt/lists/security.debian.org_*_Packages
  -rw-r--r--    1 root     root       140060 Jul 18 18-07 security.debian.org_dists_woody_updates_main_binary-i386_Packages

Checking the site with lynx:

  [   ]  Packages                   18-Jul-2002 23:07    137k
  [CMP]  Packages.gz                18-Jul-2002 23:07     29k

and searching for libc6_2.2.5 gives

  Filename: pool/updates/main/g/glibc/libc6_2.2.5-10_i386.deb

for the Packages file, but 

  Filename: pool/updates/main/g/glibc/libc6_2.2.5-9.woody.4_i386.deb

for Packages.gz!

Looks like our proxy is caching outdated downloads.  Time for a chat
with our proxy admin, I guess.
