Hi,
tripwire is a little special to other debian packages.
first at all have a look under /usr/lib/tripwire. There you'll
find (nearly) everything you need. The tripwire executable there
is the one you want to run.
Integrity-checking is run by cron-daily and the result is mailed
to [conf it in /etc/tripwire/tw.config].
The reason why tripwire (exe) is not (e.g.) in /usr/bin is that
it is strongly recommended to copy the whole thing on a removeable
media (zip-drive/cd etc.) and write-protect it.
Checking by hand is done by simply running 'tripwire [-q]' without
other options.
Hope that helps.
