[Pkg-security-team] Intention to packaging burpsuite

Hi Eder,

a couple of question unrelated to the packaging itself. It's more my own
curiosity.

Have you discussed with upstream (or propose) to switch to a FLOSS license?
(ie, something like GPL).

Also, is there any other justification for a new non-free package apart of
it being useful?

thanks for your time :-)

best regards

Hi team,

I finally created the package for burpsuite.
The git repository is updated and the package can be rebuild with the gbp
buildpackage.

The dsc is also available at mentors.d.n [1].

The ITP bug was opened [2].

Can some DD validate if it is OK and if so, send to the NEW queue?

Some background:
Acknowledgement for packing: the upstream is aware of our initiative to
packaging it for Debian and is happy with that.

Debian watch:
The upstream currently don't have a mechanism that one can easy monitor
with a debian watch file. Currently the file in the package wont work. I
e-mailed the upstream and he stated that will be implementing a new
webservice in the next months, which will allow us to automate the
identification of a new release version.

Debian Section:
I used non-free/net

As suggestion, we have sections as lisp, zope/plone, electronics, etc.
What your thoughts about a security section?

Lintian:
The package isn't 100% lintian clean but there is an explanation for all of
the messages.
I created the lintian overrides files and add the information there.

Thanks team.

If there is any questions or space for improvements, please let me know.
