Hi Kingsley,
Thank you for your comments.

1.) Thanks!
2.) I like your use of the concise "TL;DR" (ie:
"Too Long; Don't Read").
3.) Sometimes I shorten it even more, to "TLDR".
Thanks for pointing this out.
4.) How is the PDB Chemical Component Dictionary
licensed, if at all? Is it in the public domain?
It is licensed as CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication.
5.) Could it somehow compliment a big computer spread
sheet summarizing life span experiments, where
a column named "intervention" contains the
names of molecules, like "vitamin c" and
"glycine"[1]?
This might be of interest for Debian Med team. Do you envisage this body
of data being used by software packages in Debian?
6.) Could debian packages have version numbers
based on dates the CCD was downloaded?
I propose using download date as version for CCD. Or do you mean other
software packages? If so, this would be somewhat unusual, albeit some
Javascript packages seem to carry versions of their parts.
