I've just clicked
https://salsa.debian.org/groups/math-team/-/group_members/request_access and
got "Your request for access has been queued for review." Could you grant me
(user joostvb) access? In the past I've maintained the mathatical package mcl,
I am interesting in contributing there soonish again. And I happen to be a
mathematician :)

Thanks, Bye,

Joost

PS: please post here once you've asked for mailing list creation, IIRC
listmasters need public stated support by multiple people before list gets
created.
