Thanks! Running `gbp pull --verbose` gave me a proper error

   gbp:debug: ['git', 'fetch', '--quiet', '--tags']
   gbp:error: Error running git fetch:

therefore running `git fetch --tags` I realized I had a tag that was
conflicting... I deleted the tag, and it is now working. Thanks!
