i've updated my lintian to be the latest version (2.5.36.1) but it still
doesn't alert me to this issue. same when i modify my ~/.lintianrc file
as you suggest :(
i'm running it:
lintian r-cran-estimability_1.1-1_source.changes
is that correct?
anyhow i've fixed the date and r-cran-estimability should now be good to go.
with thanks

How happy is he born and taught,
That serveth not another's will;
Whose armour is his honest thought,
And simple truth his utmost skill
This man is freed from servile bands
Of hope to rise, or fear to fall:
Lord of himself, though not of lands,
And, having nothing, yet hath all.
