SCSCP stands for Symbolic Computation Software Composibility
Protocol. This protocol is developed by the European project
SCIEnce - Symbolic Computation Infrastructure for Europe:

Dear Jérôme,

What about putting your package under collaborative maintenance
in by the Debian Science Team?

I am on my way to do so.

See:

http://debian-science.alioth.debian.org/debian-science-policy.html

It may then be easier for you to find a sponsor within the team.

I can help you with that (setting up a git repository on alioth
and all)

I will have an attentive look before asking.

I have an account at Debian-Science. But I am confused now because
it is not clear what is the next step. (The document seems very
terse.)

Any hint to step further is welcome.

(Moving the discussion to debian-science, where it belongs).

You mean to set-up the git repository?

Once you have an Alioth account and you are in the debian-science
group, you can

ssh<alioth-login>@vasks.debian.org
cd /git/debian-science/packages
mkdir<package>.git
cd<package>.git
git init --bare

so far so good !

On your local machine, you should then be able to use:
  git checkout
git+ssh://<alioth-login>@git.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/<package>.git

this give me an error message

or
  git remote add alioth
git+ssh://<alioth-login>@git.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/<package>.git

but this looks to work.

I guess that the next step is to upload my stuff:
how to do so ?

Thanks in advance,
Jerome

Make sure the package itself follows the debian-science policy.

Good luck.

Regards, Thibaut.
