The point is: If a sponsor sees a need for applying minor changes to
your work it is much easier to propagate these via VCS (bee it git or
svn) than a sequence of mails and reuploading to mentors. Group
maintenance and sponsoring becomes way easier when using a VCS and
so I wished the wording would be stronger to make people use it.
