Re: simple batch queue system?

Sorry for having lost the original post already, but you might be interested in the upload
of Morten's Ubuntu package (a week ago) for the PBS-descendent Torque in its new upstream
version 2.3.7 to the new queue http://ftp-master.debian.org/new/torque_2.3.7+dfsg-1.html .

I don't know if it is sufficiently simple for your cause, though you will find many
individuals that are familiar with it. I am aware of about 5 independent efforts to
package Torque for Debian/Ubuntu, so it is prime time for it to appear, really.

We should have some Wiki page to summarise all the queueing systems that there are
available for Debian/Ubuntu today. I initiated something towards such an entry point here
http://wiki.debian.org/HighPerformanceComputing, though this is only in its infancy.

Kind regards,

Steffen
