Hi Dirk,

I understand your frustration. The Debian Med SVN contains some
packages for which I have discovered PDFs with no source, and for which
I lost motivation to do repackaging. I really think that we should be
able to build main, contrib and non-free packages from the same source,
and I wonder if the opposition we read on -devel is only the one of an
active minority.

I the meantime, how about uploading the whole GSL to non-free? It is
autobuilt (if you get the approval of the release.debian.net team), and
I even think that the BTS is smart enough to handle such a change
smoothly. The two biggest drawbacks would be that packages depending on
GSL would have to be re-uploaded in contrib, and users without internet
access have difficulties to access non-free and contrib packages.

Have a nice day,
