Dear friends,

Does somebody use XOP programme (http://www.esrf.eu/computing/scientific/xop/)?
After some upgrades on Etch system (which I don't remember) the XOP2.11 started
to give a fault message:

yury@xieesdebian:~/usr/bin/xop2.1$ ./xop
./xop: line 59: /opt/rsi/license/license.dat: No such file or directory
XOP_HOME: /home/yury/usr/bin/xop2.1
XOP_MODE: EMBEDDED
XOP_TASK: xop
IDL_DIR: /home/yury/usr/bin/xop2.1/idl_6.0
Starting XOP task: xop in EMBEDDED mode.
Executing: /home/yury/usr/bin/xop2.1/idl_6.0/bin/idl -em=/home/yury/usr/bin/xop2.1/xop.sav
IDL Version 6.0 (linux x86 m32). (c) 2003, Research Systems, Inc.

% Embedded IDL: ESRF-APS, XOP 2.11.
% Restored file: XOP_INI.
./xop: line 196: 12472 Segmentation fault      $XOP_COMMAND

I completely upgraded the system to the last snapshot and reinstalled XOP but
the error still appears.
Does somebody using XOP on Etch can confirm this behavior?

I don't use XOP, but I do use NASA SeaDAS, yet another embedded IDL application:

On my etch system:
$ uname -a
Linux montigo 2.6.18-3-686 #1 SMP Mon Dec 4 16:41:14 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux
$ seadas -em
IDL Version 6.1 (linux x86 m32). (c) 2004, Research Systems, Inc.

% Embedded IDL: NASA - Goddard Space Flight Center, SeaDAS.
[...]

You might check the ittvis site for information about using IDL 6.0
with 2.6 kernels.
You can also try posting to news:comp.lang.idl-pvwave.
