I think this sounds like a good idea. I'm currently not able to
dedicate any time to this, however, life is getting in the way.
Btw, I have some loose plans to package my Scheme package manager Akku
<https://akkuscm.org> in Debian. It provides functionality similar to
npm or pypy, which is debatable whether it's good to have in Debian or
not, but I'm mainly interested in the static analysis it can do for
R6RS and R7RS libraries. It is able to install libraries into the
locations where e.g. Guile would look for them. So if you were to
package some R6RS/R7RS code in Debian you could use Akku to copy the
libraries to the right paths, to support as many Scheme
implementations as possible. But life's been getting the way for
that. :)
