I recently took over maintenance of the ruby-sqlite3 package. During build, it converts an upstream FAQ.md to FAQ.html and ships a doc-base file. https://salsa.debian.org/ruby-team/ruby-sqlite3/-/blob/master/debian/ruby-sqlite3.doc-base?ref_type=heads I hadn’t previously encountered doc-base before. https://wiki.debian.org/doc-base Even though the documentation says that KHelpCenter can parse doc-base files on the system, it doesn’t appear to do so. I didn’t try any of the other options. My question is: how common/desired is it to ship documentation in doc-base format? The package currently ships the FAQ.md file alongside the FAQ.html. In addition, there are two other upstream .md files that might be desirable in doc-base if it is actually of use. -- Soren Stoutner soren@debian.org
