This is packaged as a dependency of gitlab (newer version than present in unstable). meta/build currently checks only for packages in unstable. So if you really want to go ahead with the update, make sure gitlab is not broken with the new version. More generally all packages I'm listed as an uploader is a likely dependency of gitlab or diaspora.
