Yes, but some bts workflows which are compatible with version tracking
are also annoying for human beings, so I tend to avoid them.

For example, bugs closed in the BTS because they are fixed in
experimental appear in the BTS web pages as "closed" and at the end of
the page, which make them easy to miss. That's annoying and not what I
would call "clever enough". The BTS should be there to serve people
and their needs, not the other way around.
