Package: release.debian.org User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock X-Debbugs-Cc: gnome-backgrounds@packages.debian.org Control: affects -1 src:gnome-backgrounds Please unblock package gnome-backgrounds [ Reason ] We already have GNOME 48.1. This update is part of GNOME 48.2 and mentioned at https://thisweek.gnome.org/posts/2025/06/twig-203/ [ Impact ] The only change in this upload is to add 2 new desktop backgrounds to celebrate Pride month. (Technically, it is 4 backgrounds since there are dark and light style variants.) gnome-backgrounds is a key package because it is a reverse dependency of the GNOME and Cinnamon desktops. These new backgrounds show in the desktop background switchers for those desktops. I am guessing that these backgrounds will be removed in an upstream update after June 2025, either to return in June 2026 or perhaps a new set would be published then. By July 2025, trixie will be even more frozen so I have no intent to do any further gnome-backgrounds uploads for trixie. These backgrounds will stay for the lifetime of Debian 13. [ Tests ] There are no autopkgtests nor build tests. I verified that the backgrounds can be set and display correctly in GNOME in both dark and light styles. [ Risks ] Some people get upset at rainbows. [ Checklist ] [✔️] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [✔️] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [✔️] attach debdiff against the package in testing unblock: gnome-backgrounds/48.2.1-1 Thank you, Jeremy BíchaAttachment: gnome-backgrounds_48.2.1-1.debdiff
