Ah yes good question, I forgot to include my analysis.
And in fact my changelog is slightly misleading, the referenced commit only adds symbols, the removal is from :

From upstream commit [1].
This commit adds an argument to KProcessRunner::fromApplication which is documented upstream as internal. [2]
