How to handle the removal of birdtray/1.9.0+ds-2+b2/s390x?

Hi,

I filed a ROM issue at #1085714 [1] few days ago about the request for removal of existing Thunderbird binary packages for the s390x architecture in unstable. We have issues to get Thunderbird 128.x build on s390x for while, but Christoph and I also don't have the needed time and skills at the moment to fix the build issues. It's not a build issues in real it's an issue while the linker is running.

Thorsten Alteholz acted quickly and did remove the cruft package.

Now DAK detected that birdtray [2] will prevent the migration of Thunderbird [4] packages as it would become non installable otherwise. Maintainer for birdtray is Adam Borowski, according to contributors.d.o [3] Adam was last active in February 2024.

As I'm not the maintainer of birdtray formally I can't request a removal of the affected binary package on s390x, so the question for me atm is how to get this managed? How does the Release Team looking on such cases?

@Adam
If you read this, it would be helpful if you could file a ROM bug for birdtray on s390x in unstable.
