One minor gripe about that: MySQL doesn't provide a stable ABI across
those micro releases for external engines. So, any external engine has
to be recompiled. I have the problem with pinba-engine-mysql and didn't
want to make the way to stable with the problem unaddressed. I've asked
the release team for guidance [1] but didn't get an answer.
I understand that there are more serious matters to address.
