Hmmm... I browser the Debian website(s) a little (with the help of  
Google) and whereever I looked for (D|d)ebian package, it actually was  
_D_ebian package (capital D). So I left the patch as is.

However, I modified the explanation in the changelog slightly:

Saying all this... uploaded and accepted in unstable.
