Not with 3.8-4, but I do believe I did a test with 3.8-3 (although it's been a
while)
I'll test again later today, just to be sure (have to go to work now).

Fair enough. I doubt it's going to have any influence on d-i at all
(nbd-client-udeb contains just "/usr/bin/nbd-client", which isn't used
except if partman-nbd is also loaded, which is never done unless you
specify a "modules=partman-nbd" at boot time), but it never hurts to
over-test.
