I did mention this on IRC, but as it hasn't had any follow-up there -
why would t-p-u be involved? If we were to accept 5.6.4 (and possibly
further updates) in to jessie prior to the release, the simplest
solution would seem to be to unblock the package from unstable.

It's entirely possible that I'm missing something, in which case please
enlighten me. :-)
