We are past the point where we can accept "new" packages into Jessie. We have already rejected several other similar requests. However, I can recommend looking into having the package added to jessie-backports. Admittedly, it may be difficult until after the Jessie release due to policy for accepting packages into backports. Please note that jessie-backports is maintained by a separate team with their own policies. My suggestion here is /not/ a pre-approval on their behalf!
