I'd like to request a transition slot for libmetadata-extractor-java 2.6. Debian
currently ships the version 2.3 but the ongoing packaging effort for Apache Tika
requires to upgrade this library to 2.6 or later (#499606). The new version is
not compatible and impacts the following packages:

  josm
  gpsprune

The package josm-plugins also depends on libmetadata-extractor-java but doesn't
seems to use it directly.

The new version of libmetadata-extractor-java is being worked on and will be
uploaded to experimental soon. A patch for JOSM is being reviewed upstream.

Thank you,

Emmanuel Bourg
