Yes, I'm exchanging email with the upstream every couple of days.
It's just that he has no right to ssh on these uncommon architecture,
and setting up an emulator is a bit tedious and time consuming.
The last upload was indeed a snapshot with fixes for alignement issues.
Indeed there is no crash, but the test suite fails, so the FTBFS.
On ia64 there was a crash I cannot reproduce on the porter box, hence
the give back request.
He does that, and progress is happening. He is also aware of the Debian freeze.
So I'm optimistic.
