If it's definitely not used as part of the Debian package then I guess
we could ignore it unless there's a need to produce a new tarball for
any other reason.
Filtering both debian-src and the test suite changes from the diff still
leaves us with
88 files changed, 38012 insertions(+), 36479 deletions(-)
Some of that appears to be files being renamed or syntax changing
slightly, and a bunch of quote character changes, which make things much
noisier than the real changes. :-(
