ACK on principle, but see below.

Congratulations for that.

That's some bits of noise during a freeze, it's be nice not to do that
in other packages.

There are really many things changed between 7 and 9 (see COMPATIBILITY
LEVELS in debhelper(7)). I don't feel like reviewing the possible
consequences of the bump, I think it could have been possible to support
that without it. Other release team members might have a different
opinion though.
