Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: transition We would really like to update the unit testing library in Wheezy from version 2.5.x to the stable 2.6 release. Unfortunately this requires a small ABI break. One major factor for us in requesting the release is that libnunit2.5's more complex reverse dependencies were originally written for NUnit 2.4, then patched downstream to the 2.5 version - NUnit 2.6 has better support upstream, and means we can move away from questionably reliable downstream patches. Four packages are affected by this transition request: taoframework - Arch:all, needs a simple rebuild gnome-do - Arch:any, needs a simple rebuild nant - Arch:all, needs an upstream version update (already in Experimental) monodevelop - Arch:all, needs an upstream version update (already in Experimental) Ben parameters as follows: Affected: .build-depends ~ /libnunit-cil-dev/ Good: .depends ~ /libnunit2.6-cil/ Bad: .depends ~ /libnunit2.5-cil/ -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers precise-updates APT policy: (500, 'precise-updates'), (500, 'precise-security'), (500, 'precise'), (100, 'precise-backports') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-24-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores)
