Thanks for the thumbs up. Will then commit those change to our stable
branch and prepare the 4.2-1 package.

Sure, but I wanted to ask first about that change before committing it
to the 4.2 branch and then not being able to use that branch (or a lot
of work in the repo) because of just that commit.
