Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: freeze-exception Please unblock package fglrx-driver Hello, I need a freeze exception for the fglrx-driver package. The package is non-free and mostly binary-only, so a diff is not possible. >From 10-7 to 10-9 there are many very important bugfixes, I will only list the _reported_ ones which are upstream relevant, not Debian relevant: #586797 Broken textures in supertuxkart and maybe in other opengl apps #587824 This is the main issue and it is merged with several other ones. With 10-5 AMD introduced a new 2D rendering architecture with much more power, but it has got ugly regressions, especially with compiz and xulrunner applications (black windows, crashing X with compiz etc etc etc etc) It maybe fixes some more bugs, but I have to ping first all reporters again. :) unblock fglrx-driver/1:10-9-1 -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (200, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.35-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash
