Sure it's long, I suppose that's why I haven't had any answer yet.

Once #487319 is fixed in lenny one way or another (see my other mail),
my request still stands.
To break this down a bit:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?src=perl&tag=pending
Things I would really want in lenny:
- 11 severity:important bugs: these should be easily justified
- #480719 and #482110: small packaging bugs, could arguably be
considered severity:important
- #480428 (the LONG_MAX warnings, also #479610, #487025): the severity is
probably too low, these warning messages are really annoying for our
users and affect many packages
- #479957 (the SEEK_SET warnings, also #482280): as above
Documentation, no functionality changes:
- #144193, #357663, #412542, #484681, #443733, #447830
Things we can live without if that makes it better:
- Pod::Man update (#448204, #480997, #480565): I think
the recommendation of the upstream author in #480997 to include this
in lenny should weigh here because he (Russ Allbery) is a respected
Debian Developer.
- CGI.pm upload fix (#483144): we're going to have a separate
libcgi-pm-perl package again with a newer upstream version, so this
is not strictly necessary
- #479540 (perl.h compilation warnings): cosmetics, but the fix is trivial
- #417528 (Math::BigFloat): this would just be nice to have now that
there's finally a fix, but it's been broken since sarge so it's certainly
not critical
Thanks,
