Did you read the particular problem I've pointed out in my mail or are
you just replying in the usual mood of "people complain about NMU"?

Yes, anybody can and should upload a package for fixing a RC bug with
0-day NMU policy. And I have nothing against that. Nevertheless, in this
particular case, the NMU-ed package was involved in a big transition
(circa 100 source packages) which is waiting to enter testing since more
than a month now.

So, sure, feel free to do the 0-day NMU, but anybody doing that should
be aware of the potential consequences: delays in testing transitions
and possible tying together of unrelated transitions due to extra
dependencies which can be brought in by buildd rebuilds.

But I repeat: this problem is already solved for gdome2-xslt thanks to
aba, if it is just for that please let this thread die.

If it is for a more general point about 0-day NMUs, I personally think
that we all make mistakes, and we all can do that when doing NMUs. So,
what do you loose in uploading to delayed-2 when doing an NMUs? I think
nothing, just 2 tiny teeny days which can give the benefit of avoiding
big masses, for example in case of overlooked large transitions.

And I'm not even saying to change the default policy of 0-day NMUs, I'm
find with that, I only think it is wiser to use delayed-2 and I
personally do that.

Cheers.
