AFAICS, these are both candidates for NMUs.

No, it isn't.  db4.5 and db4.6 are rather similar in behavior, and unlike
slapd and libsasl, OOo is TTBOMK not a demanding user of BDB.  This should
be a relatively straightforward upgrade.
