Please keep in mind that GNU/Linux distributors usually distribute a
_stable_ version that is intended to be unchanged (except for security
updates) for several months (6 in case of SuSE, 18 in case of Debian).
This includes no software updates that will change the behaviour.

Thus, after a few months after the release, about all included is
somewhat "out-dated". This is intended. When users depend on most
recent features, they can always compile the respective packages from
source fetched from the upstream CVS/SVN/$whatever repository.

Please continue to allow distributors to decide on their own which
version to include in which release. Upstream authors and
distributors often have different goals, this should not make either
of them angry.

Regards,

	Joey
