Hi again debian-release, There's one outstanding bug in iptables that should be really addressed for etch. Host and network names from /etc/hosts and /etc/networks are erroneously padded as partial IP addresses. For example, "myhosts.0.0.0". The problem has been fixed upstream and the fix is in iptables 1.3.6.0debian1-5 in unstable. Please accept this fix. Thanks, Laurence
