FWIW, I can report that I installed SA 3.0.1 on my production system
after it had been in Sid for 9 days. SA is used with exiscan-acl. This
system has limited resources, 192 MB of RAM, but allthough I gave it a
bit of stress by giving it my spamtraps to chew on, as well as
subscribing to more lists than usual, there has not been any noticeable
problems.
As spammers adapt to filters, 2.64 is barely useful anymore to many
users, and 3.0 has a plugin architecture that will give it somewhat
longer useful life, I hope the community will dedicate itself to making
it a part of the next stable release.
