I mostly agree with the rest of the post, but this isn't true. I have
Package: *
Pin: release a=experimental
Pin-Priority: 101
in /etc/apt/preferences, which causes packages to be automatically
upgraded within experimental but not from sid to experimental. In fact,
I've been wondering why experimental doesn't have a default priority of
101 in the first place.
