The time is

    # apt install routine-update
    $ routine-update

and saves you a *lot* of time - otherwise the amount of R packages
would become unmanageable.

routine-update is doing this for you.

Well, what *I* just added in

   https://salsa.debian.org/r-pkg-team/r-cran-rsdmx/-/commit/b95085fb8cb180530a7ea6ad7f091f9328e4b265

is failing and if this would be uploaded also

   Testsuite: autopkgtest-pkg-r

since if I'm not misleaded this test would be executed.  To prevent
this I would rename

    git mv debian/tests/control debian/tests/control_deactivated

and drop a comment about the issue above.  That way it would be
sufficiently documented why there is no proper autopkgtest.
