Is there any chance to make mathjaxr non-mandatory in clubSandwich?

Hi James,

the R packaging team is maintaining your package clubSandwich for the
Debian GNU/Linux distribution. The latest version 0.5.2 has mathjaxr as
new dependency. Usually new R package depencencies are quite easy to
package for Debian and we have some semi-automatic mechanism for this.
However, in the case of mathjaxr it is pretty hard since it contains a
lot of compressed JavaScript code which is considered non-free by Debian
since there is no chance to change this code.

That's why we would need to try very hard to replace all this code and
provide the non-compressed JS files. We've got the hint by Dirk
Eddelbuettel to ask you as the author of clubSandwich whether you would
consider to make mathjaxr an optional feature which would spare us the
work to package it at the moment when we are about to freeze the next
stable version of Debian. This would enable us to provide the latest
ans greatest clubSandwich - otherwise we need to stick to version 0.5.0
which does not have this dependency.

Kind regards

      Andreas.
