Re: R 4.0.0 coming in four weeks



Hi everybody,

thanks Dirk for the notice. As far as the Debian backports for CRAN (currently 
stretch and buster) are concerned, I will also publish new repositories for R 
4.0 once it is released, so people will have to change their sources.list to 
get it. As in earlier cases of breaking changes, this is to make sure they 
understand that they have to recompile their locally installed packages.

Regarding Debian unstable I think a transition will be needed in order to take 
care of and monitor rebuilding reverse dependencies.
