I'm not > sure what are the differences between libqt5quick5 and > libqt5quick5-gles to understand what could be different, The difference is that libqt5[gui quick quickparticles]5-gles are compiled against OpenGL ES instead of "Desktop" (normal) OpenGL. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenGL_ES Sadly on Linux you can't switch the OpenGL implementation at runtime, so one needs to compile against OpenGL or OpenGL ES (gles).
