Does this only affect KDE4 applications or also Qt4-only ones (like speedcrunch)?

Could you please post the output of:
- echo $QT_PLUGIN_PATH
- grep style ~/.config/Trolltech.conf

Try launching an application with the parameter "-style breeze".
Does it still not use the breeze style?

Does qtconfig-qt4 (package qt4-qtconfig) list breeze in the style list?
