Bug#747456: dolphin: manual sorting of entries in the side panel breaks localised labels

Hi,

I tried the following: install the french localisation package (kde-l10n-fr), remove the config file (~/.kde/share/apps/kfileplaces/bookmarks.xml), set the preferred language to french, and re-login; but the behaviour was exactly the same with french language.

I found a possibly related KDE bug here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319282

I've also managed to workaround this issue by editing the "~/.kde/share/apps/kfileplaces/bookmarks.xml" manually: just changed english labels to russian ones and that's it.

Why yes, I configured Dolphin's top toolbar and a few other things I don't remember already; regarding the places panel: I hid all the hard drive partitions' links and the default "Network" link. My places bookmarks currently are Root directory, Home directory, Trash, and my own directory I added there myself.

Hi,

Can't reproduce here, with same packages but in french.

Could you provide more informations ?
Did you change anything in Dolphin config ? And in places ?
Can you test this on a brand new account ?
Can you install a different language file just for testing ?

Did you check in Kde BTS if there is similar reports?
